What Ganked collects, why, and what you can ask of us. In short: you don’t sign up, we set no cookies, and your Play stats stay on your device.
Who we are
Ganked (ganked.gg) is responsible for the little personal information described here. Questions and requests: hello@ganked.gg.
Nothing to sign up for
There are no accounts. You don’t sign up for anything, and Ganked never asks for your name, email address or password.
What stays on your device
Your display choices (theme, colour-blind palette, calm motion, sound) and your Play stats and achievements are kept in your browser’s own storage, on your device. They are never sent to us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes them. Player names you choose to include in a shared team link travel inside that link: opening it sends them to our servers like any page request, and we don’t store them.
Counting visits
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, doesn’t follow you to other sites and builds no profile of you: it tells us, in totals, which pages are read and from which kind of device and country.
Delivering the site
Our hosting and network providers, Cloudflare and Railway, handle technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect the site from attacks, and keep it only as long as they need it for that. Some of their servers may be outside your country.
Riot game data
The champion, item and rune pages use Riot Games’ public game data. Current player pages use synthetic sample data. When live player data is available, pages will show what Riot’s API makes public about a Riot ID you look up: its name, rank and match history. To have a player page removed, write to us.
Ads
There are no ads yet. If ads come, a consent manager comes with them, so that where the law requires it no advertising cookies are set before you agree, and this page will say so before they start.
No sale of your information
Ganked has nothing of yours to sell: we don’t sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
Your rights
Under Canada’s privacy law (PIPEDA), and under the laws of US states and other places that give you these rights, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to your privacy regulator. In the EU and the UK, the GDPR gives you the same rights and a few more. Write to hello@ganked.gg; we answer within 30 days.
Age
Ganked is for people aged 13 and over. In the EU, people under 16 need a parent’s consent where local law requires it.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes too. Anything that changes what we collect will be announced on the site before it starts.
